Overview

Summary

The Longitudinal and International Study of Adults collects information from people across Canada about their jobs, education, health and family. The study is also interested in how changes in these areas have affected people's lives. This survey aims to help improve education, employment, training and social services in Canada. Statistics Canada has introduced administrative data for LISA family members. For each LISA respondent with valid T1 Family File (T1FF) administrative data, any family member ever identified in the T1FF is historically flagged. Each family member is then linked to their own historical T1FF administrative data. With this wide breadth of information for LISA family members, past and present, data users can now examine historical intergenerational connections and the course of factors that may influence whole families, as well as individuals, over time.
