Summary
The Survey on Individual Safety was conducted by Statistics Canada on behalf of the Department of Wage and Gender Equality. The Royal Military college component was conducted on behalf of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). The purpose of the Survey on Individual Safety in the Postsecondary Student Population (SISPSP) is to collect information on the prevalence, nature and impact of inappropriate sexual behaviours, sexual assault and discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity in a school-related setting. Students’ attitudes regarding information about policies, procedures and services provided by postsecondary schools will also be collected. The purpose of the Survey on Individual Safety in the Postsecondary Student Population – Canadian Military Colleges (SISPSP-CMC) is to collect information on the prevalence, nature and impact of inappropriate sexual behaviours, sexual assault and discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity in a Royal Military College (RMC) related setting. Students’ attitudes regarding information about policies, procedures and services provided by RMC will also be collected. Access is granted separately for SISPSP and SISPSP-CMC.
