Key Points: * Canadian-born and immigrant groups are required to complete many of the same tests in the hiring process. * The most common hiring procedure is the personal interview for all groups, across ethnoracial and occupational classifications. * While most tests were applied at similar rates for Canadian-born and immigrants, we do find occupational categories (e.g. management and healthcare) where the Canadian-born are more likely to require no tests but where immigrants are tested (e.g. security or personality testing) at much higher rates.
