Abstract (English)

Administrative data have huge research potential and their linkage to survey data is increasingly seen as the way to go. In this presentation Graham Wood ward agrees with this trend but warns against the “policy-based evidence making” risk: with examples drawn from the Ontario health care public sector, he discusses the politics of data creation, showing that administrative data can be misleading if not used adequately.
