Overview
Abstract (English)
The report summarizing the discussion during the policy research workshop on Indigenous issues that the Network held last May in Ottawa is now available. This workshop culminated a two-year partnership with Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada to support policy relevant research using data from the 2012 cycle of the Aboriginal Peoples Survey (APS). The workshop gathered approximately 65 invitees to discuss the results of these research projects focusing on Indigenous education, employment, and health, as well as the state of the data landscape relative to Indigenous Peoples in Canada. “Ethics,” “respect,” “collaboration,” “synergy,” and “strength” capture the main message from the workshop. Happy reading!
