OCAP Training Webinar
1:00PM
September 13, 2022 to September 13, 2022
CRDCN has arranged with the First Nations Information Governance Centre (FNIGC) to provide the CRDCN research community with free access to an introductory OCAP® training webinar.
The principles of OCAP® offer a framework for how First Nations’ data and information should be collected, protected, used, and shared. Standing for ownership, control, access, and possession, OCAP® supports strong information governance on the path to First Nations data sovereignty. This presentation will explore the First Nations principles of OCAP® and First Nations data sovereignty and discuss the importance of each. The 90-minute presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
Attendance at this introductory session is required to be eligible to apply for a spot at the four-hour OCAP® workshop being offered subsequently.
CRDCN strongly encourages all members of the CRDCN research community to attend the presentation. Registration is free, but required. Register now.
