Summary
The Labour Force Survey provides estimates of employment and unemployment which are among the most timely and important measures of performance of the Canadian economy.
Note - COVID19 supplement: The Labour Force Survey (LFS) has produced new supplementary COVID19 files and is now available for download and can be accessed by researchers with approved projects. The LFS Supplement on the Labour Market Impacts of COVID-19 was conducted by Statistics Canada in April and May 2020 to help assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Canadian labour market. The data is available in SAS format only. For any LFS related questions please contact your RDC analyst.
