The Canadian Labour Market and Skills Researcher Network (CLSRN) has just released two new working papers.
In “The Mom Effect”, Janice Compton examines the patterns of family proximity in Canada and quantifies the effect of close proximity and co-residence on the labour force participation of women and in “Age at Migration, Language and Fertility Patterns among Migrants to Canada”, Alicia Adsera and Ana Ferrer use Canadian Census data to examine the fertility behavior of immigrant women who arrived in Canada before adulthood.
