Abstract (English)
QUESTION: What is the number of immigrants intending to work as nurses who landed in the timeframe of 2005-2009? Which CMA cities in Ontario do they plan to settle in? What are the top source countries among them? ANSWER: Table 1 below shows province of destination among immigrants who landed in Canada between 2005 and 2009 who intend to work as nurses. This table shows that Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia are top provinces of destination among these nurses. Table 2 below shows the number of landed immigrants with intended occupation as nurses in Ontario by their landing year. The number of people who intend to work in nursing occupations has increased from 2005 to 2009.
