On April 25, Statistics Canada will host the first of a four-part speaker series organized to mark the 150th anniversary of Confederation. Peter S. Li, Professor Emeritus at the University of Saskatchewan, will address the ‘construction of diversity’ in Canada, based not only on demographic realities but also on normative values at different points in time. His presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with Jack Jedwab, Ümit Kiziltan, Nora Spinks, Yoko Yoshida and Jean-Pierre Corbeil. The Chief Statistician of Canada, Anil Arora, will chair the event. Register early, as space is limited.
