Congratulations to Dr. Neeru Gupta and team for the publication of their open-access article: “When Pay Equity Policy Is not Enough: Persistence of the Gender Wage Gap Among Health, Education, and STEM Professionals in Canada, 2006-2016”.
The project examined gender, geographic, and earnings inequalities across 13 professions and found that these STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics and computer science) fields had a tendency of being male-dominated and women earned 4.6-12.5% less than men.
