The Canadian Research Data Centre Network (CRDCN) would like to congratulate Dr. Ted McDonald on his recent receipt of the Donald G. Dennison Award for Public Administration in New Brunswick.
McDonald, who is a member of the CRDCN Board of Directors and Academic Director of the New Brunswick Research Data Centre, received the award May 11 at a ceremony at Government House in Fredericton.
The Donald G. Dennison Award for Public Administration is given in recognition of a public sector practitioner making a positive and noticeable difference within the sector in New Brunswick. Recipients are selected based on their leadership, teamwork, innovation and creativity, as well as their contribution to their organization and excellence in their field.
McDonald’s contributions to the University of New Brunswick and the provincial research environment are numerous and include more than 70 refereed publications and 100 conference presentations, approximately 5,700 citations of his research work, and several faculty terms holding the roles of Department Chair, Acting Associate Dean and Acting Dean at UNB’s Faculty of Arts.
He has also spearheaded the growth and development of New Brunswick Institute for Research, Data and Training (NB-IRDT) as its founding Director. Under his guidance and leadership, it has grown to one of UNB’s largest research institutes, with locations in Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John.
Congratulations to Dr. McDonald on this well-deserved achievement!
