The Canadian Research Data Centre Network (CRDCN) and Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) are hosting a webinar to showcase the findings of the microdata research conducted by the 2021 award recipients.

On June 16, at 1pm ET, you will hear results from three of the four individual projects and one team project – who received a total of $165,000 for research in defined priority areas supporting WAGE evidence-based policy and program activities.

The following reports will be presented:

  • “Trends in the gender wage gap among health, education, and STEM professionals: findings from 2006 and 2016 census data,” by Neeru Gupta, Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of New Brunswick
  • “Peer Effects at Work on Parental Leave: Why is Papa not more involved?” by Fabian Lange, Professor of Economics & Canada Research Chair Tier 2 at McGill University
  • “Understanding the labour market transitions of women and men in Canada,” by Tammy Schirle, Professor of Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University
