Gender is probably one of the key variables considered in social statistics research. To mark the International Women’s Day, we’d like to point out the work of a few researchers that more specifically examined the situation of Canadian women and who recently presented their results at our Annual conference: Carole Vincent examined income inequality between gender, Tammy Schirle the participation of mothers to the labour market and Lori Curtis the feminization of poverty, while Richard Mueller addressed the situation of same sex couples. You can watch their presentations on our Youtube page or download their PPt presentations in our KT Corner. Happy Women’s day!
