Today, one Canadian out of five is foreign-born. The selection and the integration of these new comers is one of the key issue for the future of the country, and many researchers have examined these questions and still do. As an example among many others, Chunling Fu et Ross Hickey’s research indicates that the introduction of occupational regulation increases the participation of immigrants in these occupations. Also of interest, Ted McDonald’s webinar comparing the process of immigrant selection and occupational outcomes of International Medical Graduates in the US and Canada.
