CRDCN-GRI funding recipients announced

The Canadian Research Data Centre Network (CRDCN) in partnership with Global Risk Institute (GRI) is pleased to announce the recipients of the funding awards.

CRDCN and GRI issued a call for research proposals that would make use of Research Data Centre (RDC) microdata to address issues related to labour market, retirement/pension and tax policy.

The adjudication committee, which included one member from GRI, one member from CRDCN and one member of the CRDCN research community, determined the following award recipients:

Philippe d’Astous, HEC Montréal “Self-Employment and Gig Work After Job Loss: Evidence on Financial Outcomes”

Ross Finnie, University of Ottawa “Do Canadian women face a retirement crisis?”

Andrew McGee, University of Alberta “The implications of ‘gig’ work for older Canadians”

Stefan Staubli, University of Calgary “The long-run and distributional impacts of public pensions”
