The first session, Spotlight on Health Partnership, was moderated by past CRDCN Board Chair Andrew Bjerring. The featured speakers were: Ted McDonald, Professor and CRDCN Academic Director at the University of New Brunswick, and member of the Health Data Research Network (HDRN) Canada Executive Committee; Kimberlyn McGrail, Professor at the UBC School of Population and Public Health and Centre for Health Services and Policy Research and Scientific Director of Population Data BC ; and Kathleen Morris, Vice President, Research and Analysis at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI).
The second session, Focus on the National Housing Challenge, was moderated by Daniel Silver, Professor of Sociology at the University of Toronto, and former CRDCN Board member and Academic Director. The featured speakers were: Josée Bégin, Assistant Chief Statistician, Social, Health and Labour Statistics Field at Statistics Canada; Ima Okonny, Chief Data Officer, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC); Aled ab Iorwerth, Deputy Chief Economist, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC); and Jim Dunn, Associate Dean, Research Faculty of Social Sciences, McMaster University and Director, Canadian Housing Evidence Collaborative (CHEC).
