Expandable List
Your policy pitch video should be created with the following prompt in mind:
You have a policy relevant issue that you think can be informed by using RDC data. In five minutes, describe your proposed issue and method of addressing it, and convince a policy-maker that it should be made a policy-research priority.
Remember that if you are selected as a finalist your policy pitch video will be featured at the SAS Global Analytics Leadership Forum.
In the five minutes, you need to briefly describe the issue and its significance, any context-setting statistics, legislative background, and your proposed methodology. Note that videos exceeding five minutes will not be considered.
When you’ve recorded your video, please upload it to Vimeo or Youtube (you can set the video to not be searchable). Make sure to save the link to include with your application.

Your letter of support should come from the professor in your department who would oversee your work. Normally this would be your thesis supervisor.
A template is available here.
In the application form you will be asked to submit the video link, letter of support, and basic information about yourself (and your teammates if you have any). When you’re ready to apply click here to proceed to the application.
