Initiated by McMaster University’s Academic Director, Mike Veall and staff at the McMaster RDC, students presented the results of their research at a Showcase held in the Community Room of Wilson Hall on the afternoon of Thursday, May 14, 2026.

The Showcase highlighted the breadth of research activity supported by the RDC, with all six McMaster faculties now represented following the recent addition of researchers from Engineering. The five presenters were:

Logan Leveille, Brock University, Applied Health Sciences (Trail availability and physical activity using CHMS cycle 6)

Irina Oltean, McMaster, Health Research Methodology (Severe maternal morbidity using the Mother-centric linkages)

Maya Rajasingham, McMaster, Obstetrics and Gynecology (Racial inequities in severe maternal morbidity using the Mother-centric linkages)

Shiteng Xu, McMaster, Economics (Intergenerational transmission of medical careers using the IID and Census)

Robbie McKercher, McMaster, Economics (Taxation and interprovincial migration using the Longitudinal Administrative Databank)

The session was well attended and the students received valuable feedback.

Well done everyone!
