RDC Code Sharing

Join us on December 10 2026 at 1:00 p.m. (ET). for an upcoming webinar exploring two perspectives on code sharing in the Research Data Centres (RDCs).

Marie Connolly, Professor and Research Chair in Intergenerational Economics at l’Université du Québec à Montréal and Data Editor for the Canadian Journal of Economics, will share her experiences, tips, and tricks for managing metadata and code files for sharing, as well as insights into what journals are looking for.

Rafidul Islam, Methodologist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, will present on developing and using packages in the RDCs. He has produced two R packages for use in the RDCs: chmsflow and cchsflow. These packages transform and harmonize variables in the Canadian Health Measures Survey and Canadian Community Health Survey, respectively, making analyses in the RDCs easier.
