This winter, QICSS is offering, for the first time, an R training pathway offered in English – designed to help you gradually acquire the skills needed to use R in your research. This training will be led by Tim Elrick.
OBJECTIVES:
Understand the R functions and packages used to create geographic mapsUn
Master the use of coordinate systems and projections
Learn how to convert latitude and longitude values into points
Create static and interactive maps displaying point, line, and area data
Develop practical skills directly applicable to cartographic projects
PREREQUISITES: Basic knowledge of R and, ideally, of the tidyverse package in order to fully benefit from the exercises.
