This winter, QICSS is offering, for the first time, an R training pathway offered in English – designed to help you gradually acquire the skills needed to use R in your research. This training will be led by Marina Doucerain.
OBJECTIVES:
Understand the fundamental functions and methods of geospatial analysis
Apply descriptive statistics to geospatial datasets
Analyze point patterns in geographic data
Acquire practical skills in Geographic Information Science (GIS)
PREREQUISITES: Basic knowledge of R and the tidyverse package is required. An understanding of fundamental geographic concepts, some experience with spatial data, and prior experience with GIS software are recommended but not required.
