Canadian Oral Health Survey
1992 - 2024
Overview
Summary
New Canadian Oral Health Survey (COHS) and Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) data linked to APIM, CCR, Census 2021, IMDB, DAD and NACRS is now available in Research Data Centres across Canada. This record linkage project used the information from the Canadian Oral Health Survey (COHS) and the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) Enrollment data to create linked analytical files. The COHS file and the CDCP file were both separately linked to the Derived Record Depository (DRD) in the Social Data Linkage Environment (SDLE) then to the Discharge Abstract database (DAD), the National Ambulatory Care Reporting System (NACRS), the Administrative Personal Income Masterfile (APIM), the 2021 Census of population (Short- and Long-Form), the Longitudinal Immigration Database (IMDB), and the Canadian Cancer Registry (CCR). Lastly, the COHS and the CDCP Enrollment files were linked together. Data Contents: CDCP and COHS linkage contains the following datasets: COHS to DAD 2000 – 2023 COHS to NACRS 2000 – 2023 COHS to CCR 1992 – 2022 COHS to APIM 2022 COHS to Census Short Form 2021 COHS to Census Long Form 2021 COHS to IMDB 1952 – 2023 COHS to CDCP 2023-2024 Enrollment CDCP to DAD 2000 – 2023 CDCP to NACRS 2000 – 2023 CDCP to CCR 1992 – 2022 CDCP to Census Short Form 2021 CDCP to Census Long Form 2021 CDCP to IMDB 1952 – 2023 This data release includes non-confidential documentation that can be provided to researchers outside an RDC.
