Research associated with the Canadian Research Data Centre Network continues to receive national recognition, with recent honours celebrating outstanding contributions to economics and public policy.
The 2026 Doug Purvis Memorial Prize for writing on Canadian public policy was awarded to Brian Kovac and Peter Morrow for their paper, The Long-Run Labor Market Effects of the Canada-U.S. Free Trade Agreement, published in The Review of Economic Studies. The award-winning article is also available as a CRDCN publication.

The 2025 Vanderkamp Prize, awarded annually for the best article published in Canadian Public Policy, was presented to Kevin P. Mongeon and Janique Dubois for their paper, A Course-Level Analysis of the Grade Gap between Off-Reserve Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Students in British Columbia. The study used confidential data files provided by CRDCN through the Education and Labour Market Longitudinal Platform.

Pierre Fortin, whose CRDCN paper on The Effect of Quebec’s CEGEPs on Total Years of Schooling was published simultaneously in English and French in Canadian Public Policy, has been named a Fellow of the Canadian Economics Association in recognition of his achievements and contribution to the discipline
